A family-run Thai & Malaysian kitchen that’s been part of Black Rock for over twenty years.
Thai Rani has been a Black Rock favourite for more than two decades — a cosy neighbourhood room on the Bluff Road shopping strip where the welcome is warm and the food is the real thing.
Our chefs cook Thai and Malaysian dishes in-house, from slow-simmered curries and wok stir-fries to fresh salads, noodles and seafood. Flavours are bright and balanced, and there’s a little theatre too — sizzling hotplates and the occasional dry-ice flourish.
It’s a small ~40-seat dining room, licensed and BYO, with friendly service that regulars have trusted for years. Dine in, take away, or order online for pickup — whichever suits your night.
